Hello all you lovely people
Thank you so much for your comments on my latest buys and of course, my hair! I have really, really appreciated the many thoughts and the advice you have given me, but apologies, I cannot now reply to you all as I am in the midst of a family crisis and will be ‘off air’ so to speak for a few days.
Indeed the situation we’re in puts my worries about my hair into perspective. Btw, it’s not us or the grandchildren but a member of the family and we are all rallying around. But again, thank you all for taking the time to comment.
Those of you who follow me on Instagram know I’ve temporarily stuck my hair behind my ears and it seems to work.

I won’t cut it any shorter, and will grow it out. In fact I looked at a recent photo taken a couple of months ago and this is what I shall work my way back to!

I’ll sign off now, but I can’t thank you enough for the support you gave me when I complained about my hair. It really is nothing in comparison to being healthy and well.
With love, Penny, the Frugalfashionshopper

Praying for healing and peace in the days ahead…
Hope all gets sorted and you are getting your priorities right. We will be here when you return.
No worries Penny, your family is the important thing and I’m sure we will all be thinking of you. We had three family crises at once last winter and if someone had told me we were going to have to get through all of that, I’d have said ‘I can’t’ – but it’s amazing what strength you find when you don’t have a choice. And yes, it does give you a different perspective on things. You’ll enjoy that haircut all the more when you are able to get it. Take care.
Whilst full of sympathy for the hair crisis, I am sure your mind will now be fully focussed on your family! These things can come out of the blue and remind us what is really important in life. I hope things resolve quickly for you all.
Dear Penny,
Your hair looks really lovely in the final photo. You are right to go return to that style.
I do hope that your family crisis is sorted out soon. Take care
My thoughts and prayers are with you, dear Penny.
Yes the photo in the opticians is perfect for you. It will grow back, that’s the best attitude, and quicker than you think. Hope you’ll be able to post again soon.
Hi Penny – all the best to family, hope soon sorted. The second hair style is much better, I had looked for one from when you ran the Hillcrest Film Society which is the same, but couldn’t find it. [although I quite liked the upper version and definitely more than the long hair]. But it is all about what you feel happy with. A x
I hope things will soon be all right with your family. Of course this must be your priority. and I agree the second hairstyle is better. Sending love and positive thoughts. Darby
Les cheveux ne sont pas importants. Cela repousse
Nothing is important…..hair will be all right in a month. Don’t worry about that
I’m sending you positive vibes, prayers, and all the good things to deal with this crisis, Penny. We will be here when you come back.

Morning Penny,
I’m sorry to hear you have a family crisis, and send love and positive thoughts that things soon improve.
As you say, it puts hair into perspective – but that’s not to say hair isn’t important. It’s not called ‘crowning glory’ for nothing – as the pic of you in the opticians demonstrates.
Mary
Sending you and yours love and virtual hugs from across country, Penny. Your are so right: family is everything and takes precedence over all else. That said, it’s good of you to spare a thought for us, your readers, who would doubtless be concerned had we not heard from you for a while: Thank you for that. We’ll be here when you return but in the meantime, kind thoughts and sincere good wishes for an improvement of the situation. You take care.

I hope that the family crisis is on its way to being sorted.
All good wishes, Carole x
Your hair looks fine. I like the style.
Hope all is well with your relative really soon.
Hair is so important. I think the cut looks fantastic on you and I like it tucked behind your ears, too. But if you’re not liking it then you must grow it out or cut or whatever takes your fancy. Sorry I haven’t been commenting; I no longer see when you post a new post. I don’t know why that is and of course I forget looking for you at times. Must make more effort…I’ve ticked the box to be notified by email so will see if that works…
