Hi Everyone
Next week I am at long last going on my holiday, and have already started packing the non-crushable items like shoes. I did think I might do a parade of my dresses, but that’s not happening as I still feel rather below par, which is why I am hoping that this cruise will rectify my post-viral slump. Instead you are getting some old pics of the dresses I have decided to take.
First of all there is this dress, which I found last year. OMG that hair – it’s much better now and even more stylish with the new hairdresser I’ve found.
I like that dress.
Then there’s this one, again found last year – hair is still not right! I really like this dress. Btw, I shall be building up some fake tan over the next few days.
And this one below, which is new from New Look, but, I hasten to add, it was bought in a sale.
And don’t forget this dress, which I bought simply years ago and have worn only on cruises – this is a beauty.
Then there are these two items, which are great fun. There’s a really cheap and cheerful top from Tu at Sainsbury’s and a crepe pair of trousers that I only wear on cruise, which are also fun to wear.
I will also be taking this lovely white skirt, which I will wear with a lacy top and the black sandals, although you never know I might wear those trainers!
Well, that’s all for now, apologies for the old photos. I am hoping to come back refreshed from the cruise, until then, and it will be a couple of weeks before I post a blog again, farewell but see you soon!

White trainers are very in at the moment so I won’t look at all out of date if I choose to wear them – they are so comfortable too!
Oh that sea air, mind you, although we have had catalogue of ailments lately, Mr F included, we are very lucky not to be on the high seas or in Norway at the moment what with this current storm! It’s all totally Force 8 and High Seas. But it’s going to be lovely weather on Wednesday – phew what relief 😀

Yes, that one is a beauty and is also very forgiving around the middle – and comfortable to wear too! it;s very old but so right for a cruise.

I’ve just about got over a couple of ailments directly linked to being below par. Mr F too is not 100% so gosh do we need this holiday. Next year we are going on an earlier cruise – think that will be good. However, the timing is good as we are very lucky not to be on the high seas at the moment what with this current storm. Weather is lovely on the 28th when we board ship.
The sea air and good food will really help – can’t wait! Thanks Trish 😀

I definitely wear the sequins and pearls on a cruise – it’s expected on this cruise line. No jeans or shorts are allowed in the evening – thank goodness! I will so enjoy the dressing up!

Hi Penny, Like all the dresses but love the leopard one the best. You can dress it up or down and change the look of it with a shawl, or blouse, or jacket,, etc. have fun, enjoy your trip and hope you come back refreshed. Best, Claire

It is very dressy uppy on the cruise line I go on, so all of them will be good, but that white skirt is a gem as is the black and white dress.

Sorry to hear you are still not feeling well Penny. I like all your choices but my favorite is that last one which you have had for a while. Hoping you enjoy every moment of the cruise and come back refreshed. The one item I purchased this year was my pair of white sneakers or trainers as you call them which are not only comfortable but so useful. Love, Darby

I haven’t been here for a while but needed some advice and thought this was the place to ask! I’m 48 and have grown my long hair out to grey recently. I’m pleased with it on the whole and that I have some natural highlights but am a lot more frizzy / wiry on the top now. I used L’Oréal frizz serum after washing and provoke touch of silver serum (purple) when I go out. I also leave my conditioner in for an hour or two before I wash it out. I just wondered if anyone had any tips to get that more smoother look on top? I looked at your hair in these pics, Penny and yours looks sleek.
