    Two Second-hand September buys

Hi everyone Three cheers! I managed to get through September without buying any new clothes, which was so good as, really, over the last few month I have bought far too many new clothes, all online, of course. Some were

Secondhand September? Maybe it’s more of a case of shopping my closet!

    Featured Oct 2020

Hello again! Well, I went ahead, got down my Autumn/Fall clothes, put away my flimsiest Summer frocks and skirts, and all of that just in time for some warmer weather over the next few days! Not to worry, I think

Jackets Part II and another necklace

Hello again Weather-wise we’re now fully into cold starts in the morning (for the UK) and a lot of rain, perhaps more than usual. Fortunately, even our leader (the one that I am not fully in tune with!) has said

More skirts with an added pop of colour

Hi everyone I’ve bought two more skirts, which aren’t featured here, you’ll see them another time. I am such a skirt person though, and always have been.  Jeans/trousers/pants are so not my go-to item of clothing. But for a short

    About Me

My name is Penny, I am 78 years old and I live in Lewes, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.
