What a difference a bit of warmth makes!

Hi everyone   It’s the end of May and wow, at last it’s warmer here and I’ve started wearing my dresses. Three cheers for that! It’s interesting how I’ve moved from wearing skirts in the summer to wearing dresses. Only

My first visit to an exhibition!

Oh wow!  This was our first visit to an exhibition since November 2019. I’ve felt so starved of my cultural hits, which I just took for granted, you know, that visiting museums, art galleries and exhibitions was my way of

Distractions, brain fog and ways to be positive

Hello again If you thought that the last post I put up was a little thin, apologies, I have been quite distracted these past few weeks. First of all, I took a couple of weeks to write a 3000+ word

Hello everyone Over 15 million people are now vaccinated in the UK, apparently that’s 86% of all the over-70s. The 15 million are the people in the four top priority groups and the vaccination programme has now moved on to

Here’s to better things to come!

Hi everyone Got my vaccination done last Wednesday and, my word, the whole roll-out of vaccines in the UK is an incredibly efficient operation, and that, of course, is because it was not outsourced to an expensive private sector contractor

    About Me

My name is Penny, I am 78 years old and I live in Lewes, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.
