    Lockdown outfits – April 2020

There’s a lot of clothes and outfits in my wardrobe going unworn. I bought the most wonderful edgy skirt just before all the shops shut and can’t quite bring myself to wear it as it’s not, in any way, an

    Lockdown diaries – 31 March 2020

Hello everyone How are you all? Are you self-isolating?  Or distancing? Or going to work?  Hats off to all the workers that, just maybe, some of them, we took for granted in that other more normal life that seems to

Party frocks – actually I always prefer a party skirt!

Oh my word, it’s almost Christmas, and I’m nearly ready and it’s going to be fine. But I do have mixed feelings about the holiday. Christmas for me, now, is too much. It’s great when you’re a child and your

Hi people I’m so sorry to have not posted last week – where does the time go!  But see my postscript for one reason why 🙂 Anyway, on this rather grey day I’d like to sing the praises of wearing

Up to London – for good news and good views!

Hi there After several months of sorting out the new flat we found time to go up to London for some exhibitions and my annual skin check at The Mole Clinic, which, btw, is not part of the NHS but

Jackets Part II and another necklace

Hello again Weather-wise we’re now fully into cold starts in the morning (for the UK) and a lot of rain, perhaps more than usual. Fortunately, even our leader (the one that I am not fully in tune with!) has said

    About Me

My name is Penny, I am 78 years old and I live in Lewes, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.
