The (late) June review – 2021

Hi everyone I thought you might like to see two charity shop dresses I bought in June in my local charity shop in Brighton.  Here’s one I’m really happy with. It’s made of 100% viscose which is quite sustainable and

Suddenly it was summer! And I was in Lewes through all the sunshine!

Hi everyone Do you see that title? Those you who live outside the UK I have to tell you we had a mini-heatwave last week, which was just wonderful and coincided with my stay at my daughter’s house in Lewes.

Distractions, brain fog and ways to be positive

Hello again If you thought that the last post I put up was a little thin, apologies, I have been quite distracted these past few weeks. First of all, I took a couple of weeks to write a 3000+ word

    Suddenly it’s Summer!

Hello everyone It’s almost mid-May and up to a few days ago I was still wearing socks and long-sleeved winter woolies and sleeping under a winter duvet.  Last week we had frosts in the morning – it’s been so unseasonably

    April review – 2021

    How did this happen?

I’ll be 75 next birthday (in June) and I often think along the lines of How.Did.That.Happen, this ageing thing? Because it creeps up on you and then boom, it’s there! I’ve said this before, that when I was 40 I

    About Me

My name is Penny, I am 78 years old and I live in Lewes, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.
