Hello!
Yes, I know I said I’d not be writing a blog this week, but this is a short post to tell you that Tricia Cusden’s blog on her Look Fabulous Forever website has a blog that is all about her Super Stylish Friend and this time it’s me!
Do have a look and remember I am not super stylish every day – far from it but I do try! Do look also at her website for her makeup and skin care products. I have used most of them and highly recommend. I now mainly use the eye makeup products and like them a lot.
Hope the weather where you are is OK. Here it is rain, rain, and nothing but rain and it’s cooler, which is why I’ve put in this pic as I’ve begun to wear my favourite yellow jacket, which I’ve had for years and worn and worn.

It cost next to nothing – can’t remember how much but it wouldn’t have been over £10. Also hoping that you are all well and that you are having a good Sunday.
With love, Penny, the Frugalfashionshopper

I have this same jacket and love it, it cheers me up just wearing it! Also love Tricias makeup, definitely great for my older skin
Oh wow, the same jacket! Isn’t it a lovely colour and wearing it really brightens up a gloomy wet day. Thanks Margaret 🙂
It’s good to learn more about you and your background on Tricia’s blog, Penny.. I love the picture as well.
I’ve been meaning to come back as well to second another commentators message on your last post about being ok with you not replying to comments. I know you probably can’t do that from what you’ve said, but I get the importance of prioristing your other writing. Another angle is that you could think of it as you spending the time putting the post together each time and kicking off the conversation for the community you’ve created. 🤔
Thanks Jen and here I am again replying to everyone! But clearing my desk for this coming week. I think let’s see how I feel about not replying when I do the next one, which will be after a week’s absence. But good suggestion as I do love it when people reply to each other.
Thanks again 🙂
I’ve just read the article, Penny. Fantastic. So very well done.
Thanks Nicky 🙂
I’ve also read the article Penny. Well done you. I thoroughly enjoy your style blog and also the other more serious blog. Take it easy and don’t get too overloaded with replying to comments.
Best wishes
Charmaine
I won’t, says me, replying to your comment 🤣
Loved the article!
Thanks Lise 🙂
Seen the article Penny, great stuff! Someone commented that charity shopping is OK if ‘you want to wear someone’s cast-offs’, obviously still hurt and angry from a childhood wearing ill-fitting donated clothing. Also the issue of what happens to what can’t be sold was raised. There are always more questions than answers, whatever you try to do! Just managed a walk in between heavy showers, was starting to go stir-crazy being at home!
Hi Lynda, I actually replied to the one who brought up the issue of all the clothes that are sent to poorer countries, it’s a ghastly practice and ruins the local fashion and clothing industry. How this is solved is another matter and it won’t while we continue to consume and ‘grow’ the economy. But I left the negative commenter alone!
I’m dodging the showers and getting out around the complex for short sharp walks but my steps won’t be that high, and it seems to be raining again!
thanks Lynda 🙂
Hi Penny, Well done on being featured on Tricia’s blog. Interesting to read how your style has evolved over the years. I am so looking forward to Friday , I know we will have much to chat about.
Thanks Jill and looking forward too!! Will email you shortly 🙂
Thanks for this “heads up” about the article, Penny! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Your vibe and energy are back in full swing. Enjoy your dedicated writing time. May the words and energy flow. How fortunate for your family!
Take care…Charlene
Thank you so much Charlene 🙂
