Gosh, I’ve been feeling a bit stressed. I’ve been sleeping badly and my IBS has returned. \u00a0It’s the move, which is going a bit wobbly. \u00a0It could get resolved fairly soon, but at the moment I don’t know where we’ll be living, and we could cancel the whole thing. \u00a0 And yes, I have been taking deep breaths and trying to chill. I have done some meditation. And it works, mostly.<\/p>\n

But one day last week when I was feeling particularly down when a flat\/apartment we thought we might be going for disappeared (owner changed their mind) \u00a0I cheered myself up by buying a hat! \u00a0 And what a hat! \u00a0As soon as I saw it I thought this is definitely one for Judith Boyd’s #hatattack session<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Just look at it! \u00a0Will I wear it out and about? \u00a0I’ve no idea, but the colour, the felted flowers and the whole look of the hat made me laugh!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I mean, it’s completely nuts!\u00a0\u00a0 It’s a charity shop hat, of course, and cost only \u00a34.99. \u00a0The boots, navy cardigan and scarf are also charity shop bargains and the jeans and striped top are from Primark<\/a>. \u00a0So that’s a whole outfit at well under \u00a350<\/p>\n

Personally, I think it’s a happy hat! \u00a0And yes, I’ve been so good with the de-cluttering, which has included getting rid of nearly 50% of my hats. But this one is a keeper.<\/p>\n

Here I am wearing it in my garden. \u00a0I really must get up the courage to wear it in town! \u00a0For the moment, though, just looking at the hat makes me feel good.<\/p>\n

This is part of the joy of charity shop shopping. \u00a0You’re helping a charity and, it’s often a fun thing to do. But if the item in question also makes you laugh – you’re on to a winner!<\/p>\n
