Gosh, my packing was way out of kilter. \u00a0Again!<\/p>\n

I mean I managed to get a capsule wardrobe, plus two pairs of shoes and all my makeup and other stuff into a cabin-sized suitcase. \u00a0But I packed on a cold day, so I took out all the hot weather gear and substituted black jeans and other black things including two cardis. \u00a0Reader, it was hot, hot, hot where I went, which was slightly north of Toulouse.<\/p>\n

Never mind, off I went to the local market and bought two great end-of-season (so 30% off) floaty pieces that put together looked like this.<\/p>\n

I never, ever, wear outfits like this at home in the UK. \u00a0We just don’t have the weather for it. \u00a0But the skirt and the dress flap and flutter about as you walk making you a smidgen less hot. \u00a0 \u00a0You’ll hear more about the hat in another post, but it had great style I think with its slightly turned up brim.<\/p>\n

If you think the trees and the canal made the walk cooler it didn’t!<\/p>\n

It was a hot afternoon. \u00a0And yes, we hadn’t quite got the hang of getting up earlier in the day and doing the walk in the early morning. \u00a0But look at the light and the shadows on the path. \u00a0All was quiet as even the birds know not to be out and about in the heat of the afternoon sun.<\/p>\n

The area is famous for its fruit production and on the left you can see the fruit trees with fruit ready for picking.<\/p>\n
