In praise of comfortable shoes!

In praise of comfortable shoes!

Hello everyone I see someone suggested I wear better shoes but here’s the thing, I’m not disagreeing, as I’m always on the lookout for shoes, but never seem to buy any.  About a month ago I had a whole shop floor of shoes surrounding me whilst looking for a blue

Living the Life More Fabulous!

Living the Life More Fabulous!

Hello dear friends and thank you so much for your good wishes and thoughts about the anxiety I had (which I think a lot of us suffer from) before travelling. Because, of course, on the actual day I was fine, and I had a great time in London. And where

Out and about in London!

Out and about in London!

Hi everyone And here’s hoping all of you are enjoying a great Easter weekend.  Personally, I need the time for a bit of a rest as we went up to London on Wednesday.  Wow!  Did we make up for not visiting London for six months?!  Oh, we did.   We

Here’s another quick and easy post featuring the outfit I wore at the June film screening. This month’s outfit consists of a John Rocha silk skirt (bought in my  local charity shop for £3.99) plus a thin linen jacket that I got last year for £10 (in a sale) at

Shoes for the cruise that didn’t fit!

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I like to post on this blog around once a week. It’s a regular commitment and I kind of see it as my 3rd Age career. But I can’t help feeling that a proper journalist &/or blogger would’ve either written ahead or blogged

Sparkly shoes for difficult feet

Before we get on to frocks I’d like to say something about shoes and the older woman.  I simply adore shoes and in my time I’ve worn every type from the highest heels to sandals and low ballet flats.  And Doc Martens, how I loved them!   You name the shoe

About Me

My name is Penny, I am 73 years old and I live in Brighton, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.
