The (as usual) late end-of-the-month review. February 2022

Hi everyone I apologise, late again, but life got in the way! More about that in another post, I think. Anyway, what a month!  It began with me at the tail end of having a series of viruses (not Covid) which I think I got from my lovely new grandson

The late (as usual) end-of-month review – January 2022

Hi everyone Many apologies I’m late as usual but this time I’ve got a very good excuse as I’ve posted not one but two blogs on My Other Blog and replied to the commenters. The first is all about those ‘gatherings’ at No10, with the second an update on the

The (late) September review – 2021

Hello everyone It’s October – wow! With the Autumn season well and truly established the weather has turned in the UK and it’s wet and windy once again, consequently our winter duvet is back on our bed and yesterday I even wore a vest. And, oh bother, with the change

End of August review – 2021

Hello everyone It’s the 1st day of September and while I could be saying where did that month of August go, I rather think the more appropriate thing to say is, where did our summer go? Because in the UK we had one week of hot weather in June, another

Random thoughts and July review

Hi everyone Where has this month gone? I cannot believe I’m doing an end of the month post again!  But I am! Anyway that was our summer gone, actually I’m exaggerating a little as we still have some quite warm weather but there’s a lot of rain about with thunderstorms

The (late) June review – 2021

Hi everyone I thought you might like to see two charity shop dresses I bought in June in my local charity shop in Brighton.  Here’s one I’m really happy with. It’s made of 100% viscose which is quite sustainable and it’s great to wear in the hot weather. And yay

April review – 2021

Hi everyone I’m still doing an end-of-the-month review (a trifle late this month) but as you can see it is no longer called Lockdown Diaries, as it’s now just a roundup of events, happenings, clothes I might have bought that I haven’t shown you, films and television that I have

Lockdown diaries – March 2021

Hi again everyone I wonder whether I’ll be continuing this diary throughout the year or will it come to an end soon? Actually, I’m thinking that I might do one more at the end of April and possibly May, and then maybe continue the theme of the post as a

Lockdown Diaries – February 2021

Hi everyone Phew, bit of a challenging week last week as I was recovering from tripping and falling hard on my face, oops a daisy as they say. I was fine, albeit a bit shocked so no need to worry, but my neck is a bit stiff so haven’t done

About Me

My name is Penny, I am 75 years old and I live in Lewes, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.

Penny,
