The Back-to-Lockdown Diary – 30 September 2020

Hello everyone I thought I’d start by saying that I write this diary not as a blow-by-blow account of daily happenings, instead this is more about my thoughts on the current situation, the reason being, I think it important to capture the essence of how we are all coping during

Some New Year’s resolutions plus thoughts about this and that including the blog(s)

Hello everyone I do hope you had a good Christmas and New Year and a bit of a break from work, although, if you’re a woman, and the majority of my readers are, I bet you did a lot of cooking 🙂 Throughout these ‘holidays’ or Twixmas, as some media

The continuing impact of the move and how I’m dealing with it

We love living in the centre of Brighton and this has made quite a difference to our cultural life.  Last Sunday we went to a gig. OK, it was in the afternoon, but it was a right rock-on affair with the Alter Eagles showcasing all the original Eagles songs. Who

An update on the fitness thing

This blog has always been more than just the charity shop shopping and the clothes I wear.  It’s also about women and ageing, and how we can age well and all the positive things we can do to be healthy and (yes, I like this word) comfortable as we age.

Exercise – do you?

Exercise – do you?

I ask that question because speaking for myself, I think I do lots of exercise, but in actuality, the exercises that I do are now down to once a week.   These are stretching exercises on a mat, plus some weights for building and toning those arm muscles.  One of the

About Me

My name is Penny, I am 74 years old and I live in Brighton, East Sussex. My reasons for writing a fashion blog is that I have built up a great wardrobe on very little money mainly because I buy from charity shops.

So my blog will feature the clothes I have found since I retired, and the clothes that I continue to find in my local charity shops. From time to time I will also comment on issues around women and ageing.
