Hello everyone
Well that was January! And why, you might have asked yourself, have I not written on this blog for a whole month? Hmmm. The thing is I had every intention to write as per usual for Frugal Fashion, and I also aimed to write a post for My Other Blog about the 31st January (Brexit) along the lines of ‘My Heart is Broken’. Of course, I didn’t mean that literally, but gosh, how life can turn on the spin of a coin.
As you know I developed a cold on Christmas Day, and a couple of days later so did Mr F, and then both of us got secondary infections. Mr F got bronchitis, and me? Well, talk about a complete turnaround in one’s health – the virus attacked my heart!
I am being positive and to cut a long story short I have 2 cardio tests today and tomorrow and start meds Wednesday – more news as and when. But I don’t have a lot of energy so I won’t be answering any of your comments for this blog. Hoping to get back to normal at some point this month 🙂
And here’s to a return of this kind of pic over the coming year 🙂
With love
Penny, the Frugalfashionshopper

So sorry to hear the start of 2020 was not good for you. Hope your tests go well, and that soon you are both walking along Brighton promenade with a spring in your step!
So sorry the read of your heart issues Penny. As someone who has had heart issues of my own I can sympathise. It’s a shock to face the reality of one’s own mortality – we only have one heart. That shock can persist for a while. Have you been offered cardiac rehab? That changed my life and I still go twice a week over three years later. I’ve got a shape and muscles now 😁. Very best wishes for your recovery Penny.
Hello, Penny
I knew you were upset about Brexit but this is going a tad too far! 😉 That virus has a lot to answer for but glad to hear the medics are on to it. Good luck with those tests, and thank you for taking the time to keep us in the picture.
Here’s wishing you both all the very best. I’m sure everyone’s rooting for you. Just concentrate on getting better. That sea air will surely help!
Hugs
Zepherine x
So sorry to hear the virus attacked your heart I do hope you get the all clear soon.

Oh goodness Penny, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been so poorly. My friend had a similar thing happen to her, but with the right meds and gentle exercise with healthy eating she made a full recovery so I have my fingers firmly crossed that the swift action of your medical centre you will soon be feeling a lot better. Take care x
Take good care, and get well soon!! xx 🌺🌺.
We all miss you Penny, and your blog!!
Here’s hoping you’ll be fighting fit again very soon Penny. I was thinking about you last Friday. We went to the Mary Quant exhibition at the V and A. Also the photography and the Cars. Took much the same photos as you I reckon. 😉 Don’t let Brexit get you down. Concentrate on getting better.
Get well soon.
I always enjoy both blogs.
Wishing you all the best Penny.
So very sorry to hear of your health problems. I had a strange feeling there was something wrong. I hope since you take such good care of yourself that this is going to be sorted out in the near future with no residual damage. Take time to recuperate and we will be waiting for your update and return. Do pamper yourself and listen to the doctors, as this is something that is not visible from the outside for others to see and you have to take care of your needs first. With love, Diane
Get well soon Penny.
I had noticed your absence.
I too had a dreadful 5 week cough /cold,and received grave warnings from younger members of the family!
What are these horrid viruses which abound?

Dear Penny,
I wondered why we hadn’t heard from you for such a long time. I missed your words of wisdom & your photos of your charity shop buys. I am so sorry to hear that you & Mr. F have had such a rotten start to the new year. I light a candle every morning while having my breakfast & I say a prayer for any of my family, friends or colleagues who are unwell or going through a tough time. I will include you & Mr. F in my prayer from tomorrow morning onwards. Every good wish that your tests go well & that you are back to your usual healthy self very soon.
Regards from Fran XxxxxxxX

Very much hoping that the coming spring brings with it good health and renewed energy. Take care of yourselves.
